Sharir rachana according to Ayurveda, Marma, Vidgyan, Modern anatomy related to massage in brief
History and importance of massage therapy

• Principles of massage therapy
• Different types of massages:
• Abhyanga
• Padabhyanga
• Shiroabyanga
• Svedana
• Special focus therapy:
• Shirodhara
• Nasya
• KatiBasti and
• Marma points massage
• Different oils used for massage and their indications
• Preventive and their indications. Preventive and therapeutic massage treatments.

Glossary

• Abhyanga (harmonizing synchronous massage with herbal oils)
• Shirodara (oil applied to the forehead for vegetative harmonization)
• Padabhyanga (Ayurvedic foot reflex zone massage, harmonizing, revitalizing)
• Svedana (herbal steam bath with Ayurvedic medicinal plant)
• Shiroabhyanga (invigorating massage of head, neck and shoulders with herbal)
• Nasya (Medicated oil, milk, or fresh herb juice is put in the nose. This treatment removes excessive kapha from the sinuses)
• Marma point massage (using Ayurvedic 107 marma points to clears blockages by stimulating and/or pacifying the three doshas.)
